Prestige Landscaping strives to use plant materials provided by local nurseries and native to our region (Zones 8 and 9).
Trees and shrubs can add immediate value to your property but throwing up a few trees or shrubs without a plan can be distracting. Put plenty of thought into your project and sketch your ideas because you are investing in the future. Flowers look fantastic framed with larger plants as a backdrop. Establish those bigger plants, then use the flowers for the finishing touch.
Do you have enough space for that tree when it reaches maturity? How about shrubs? Is there good drainage where you want to plant that shrub or tree? Do you need to do a little work on that land section before planting something there? How about the light? Will the flower get full sunlight? Have you done your homework and know how much sunlight your selection can tolerate? Is the tree going to be the center of attention? Or will the shrubs will be used to divide up the yard or provide privacy? These are some of the questions you should be asking when planning your softscape project.
Trees and shrubs best tolerate installation in the early Spring or during the Fall. We recommend professional installation. This ensures that the planting depth is correct and that root systems are properly established. Irrigation systems are recommended with large quantities of tree, plant, or sod installations.
